A huge THANK YOU to all of you who have shopped online or in person at our store since the Covid-19 pandemic hit Seattle.  Your support is truly keeping us afloat in these uncertain times, allowing us to pay employees, vendors, and rent.  We plan to remain open 7 days per week and add more products to our on-line ordering platform, so that ordering remotely is even easier, and we offer no-touch delivery.  Wine OrderingThis week, we added wines to our web ordering interface, including wines from Bordeaux, Rioja, Burgundy and more. While we aren’t able to list every wine we carry, the website shows wines that are consistently in stock, plus our six-bottle bag o’wine values, and special-occasion bottles.  If you are looking for a wine and it isn’t listed, please call us at 206-682-0679 or respond to this e-mail with your inquiry.  We may have a bottle or two in stock or be able to order it for you.

Nexus CrianzaNexus Crianza, Ribera del Duero, 2011 ($21.99)  This is a wine that absolutely over-delivers for the price.   100% Tempranillo, aged in French oak, it is full-bodied and smooth.  It offers up notes of black fruit, graphite, vanilla and mineral.   Very silky and engaging, this is a wine that pairs well with meats and stews.  Incredibly versatile and delicious!

Niepoort Dao RotuloNiepoort Rotulo Tinto, Dão 2015, SALE $15.99 (originally $18.99). Winemaker Dirk Niepoort is a renowned producer of port but also makes fantastic table wines. Rotulo Tinto is a classic Dão wine, offering up elegant aromas of black fruit and spices.  With medium fruit concentration, there are hints of black pepper, floral notes, and a balsamic profile.  Showing a good volume in the mouth and a mineral profile, it is full of wild fruit and spice notes.  A very food-friendly wine at a great price, it’s a great opportunity to sample a Niepoort wine.   Sadly, only 10 bottles are available.
