A pallet of French products came in just before Labor Day with popular items back in stock and tasty new products!
NEW IN STOCK:
Calissons, individually wrapped. These are large (35 g) confections that will provide instant gratification. If you’ve not tried these amazing Provençal sweets, they are made from a paste of candied melon and oranges with ground almonds, topped with royal icing.
Mini boxes of Goulibeur shortbread: These 1.23 oz paper tubs contain about 8 bite-size cookies that are rich and intensely flavored. Eating just one or two is extremely satisfying. Excellent for taking on a hike or picnic, and they make a fun gift. In two flavors – cocoa or walnut.
L’Epicurien Sweet garlic cloves in a jar with herbs de Provence: Never peel garlic again! Use these herb-infused cloves in any recipe to save time and add extra flavor.
L’Epicurien Salted Butter & Caramel Spread: The folks at L’Epicurien are masters at crafting the best tasting spreads, jams and confits with all natural products and no preservatives. Their Salted Butter & Caramel Spread will take a croissant or bowl of ice cream to a new level!
Les Confitures a l’Ancienne Jams: As the name suggests, these jams are made the old-fashioned way, with fruit picked at its peak of flavor, preserved in cane sugar and pectin and cooked in a copper cauldron, giving them a smooth texture and purity of flavor. With no artificial flavorings or preservatives, and a delicate use of sugar, they can be used as a glaze on tarts or pies or enjoyed with cheese. Choose from Apricot & Sliced Almond Jam, Blackcurrant, or Rhubarb.

Viña Tondonia Rosado Rioja Gran Reserva 2010 ($40.00) Extremely limited, 6 bottles in stock. No discounts, limited to one bottle per customer. 30% Tempranillo, 60% Garnacha, 10% Viura, fermented spontaneously in 25,000 liter vats, then aged 4 years in neutral 225 liter vats. Bottle aged for an additional 5 years. Clearly, this aging regimen creates a rosé unlike any other on the market. Extremely dry and savory, with notes of almonds and hazelnuts and slightly oxidyzed. With a smooth texture, body and complexity due to lengthy oak aging, it pairs wonderfully with Asian, spicy foods and charcuterie.
