It is over a month until Thanksgiving, but our turkey vendor is already taking orders for fresh, hormone-free, premium turkeys. Don’t wait as the most popular sizes are already selling out. These birds are insanely delicious and deliver an incredible depth of rich flavor and moistness. We have two brands available this year, and the pre-ordered birds will arrive at Paris-Madrid Grocery just before Thanksgiving.

To order, it’s best to call the shop at 206.682.0679 or reply to this e-mail with your order (we’ll need the size and type of turkey), your contact information and credit card information to confirm your order. We also need the date you’d like to pick it up (November 22, 23, or 24) – these fresh turkeys need to be cooked within a few days of pick up.
So this arrived today. Paleta Ibérica de Bellota, DOP Jabugo, ($81.99 per lb) is a loaf of acorn-fed, 100% Ibérico pork, the highest classification of purebred Iberico pork from Jabugo, Spain, aged 2.5 years and made from the shoulder. We are sadly replacing the whole legs of Cinco Jotas with the Paleta Ibérica because the price of 5J is now over $200.00 per lb! We will continue to carry the pre-sliced and packaged Cinco Jotas.
We’ve got two cases of Vignobles Bulliat Beaujolais Nouveau 2021 ($17.99) SCHEDULED TO ARRIVE APPROXIMATELY NOVEMBER 18, 2021. Bulliat has always been a customer favorite for it’s fantastic enjoyability, food-friendliness and value. 100% Gamay, the wine is lightweight and fruity and pairs with a wide range of foods, making it a no-brainer to enjoy with Thanksgiving foods. The vineyards are organically farmed and certified and undergo whole cluster fermentation with with indigenous yeast. Carbonic maceration lasts 10-15 days in tank, then it is lightly filtered and a very low dosage of sulfur (15 PPM) is added at bottling. Let us know if you’d like to reserve a couple of bottles and we’ll notify you when the wine arrives, or simply buy it off the shelf in November.
Lastly, there is now a 5 minute loading zone in front of the shop for customers to use. Early in the pandemic, SDOT (Seattle Department of Transportation) provided two 15-minute loading zone signs for customers picking up orders placed remotely. When the load zone signs disappeared, SDOT decided not to replace them but installed a permanent 5 minute load zone in front of Paris-Madrid Grocery and painted the curb yellow.
