Our hours are Monday-Saturday from 10 AM to 6 PM, and on Sundays, we are open from 11 AM to 5 PM. In-store special – 5J Ibérico de Bellota Jamón. While not inexpensive, we received a price break on a leg of Cinco Jotas Ibérico de Bellota and are passing on the savings, while supply lasts. Cinco Jotas, or 5J, is considered by many to be the best quality Jamón Ibérico de Bellota in Spain. The family has been producing these cured hams since 1879 and were the first to graze their herd on acorns, in the Holm oak forests of Jabugo. While we also stock the pre-sliced and packaged 5J, which is extremely easy to tuck into a backpack, the flavor of the freshly sliced jamón is absolutely the best. Tender and buttery, with nutty hints and a delicate flavor, it makes a superb sandwich or compliment to a meat and cheese platter. Normally over $50.00 per quarter pound, now $38.75 per quarter pound, this is a great price for 5J. Tasting is believing, if you love cured Jamón!
Commanderie de la Bargemone Rosé 2021, Aix en Provence ($17.99) An unusual blend of 42% Cabernet-Sauvignon, 30% Syrah, 28% Counoise, the grapes are grown organically and harvested at night to maintain freshness. On the palate, it is rich and rounded with wild red fruit flavors and a touch of spice. Incredibly refreshing, delicious, and stellar with shellfish.
Domaine Vetriccie, Gran Ile De Beaute, Corsica 2020 ($11.99) A Corsican delight! 50% Vermentino, 50% Chardonnay, 100% crowd pleaser. This food-friendly, versatile wine is bright and dry. A light, unoaked blend that is lively as it hits the palate. with notes of citrus, wildflowers, and pineapple. Pairs well with salads, seafood, and goat cheese.
Domaine Fond Croze, Cuvee Romanaise 2019 Côtes-du-Rhône ($14.99) The expression of ripe fruit with very good maturity is accompanied by remarkable freshness. 100% Grenache, offering a freshness on the palate, this cuvée is made with old Grenache vines. Very intense color, ruby red with purplish reflections. On the nose, aromas of intense fruit, licorice, and spices. In the mouth, a remarkable power. Abadia Retuerta, Sardon de Douro Seleccion Especial 2017 ($45.00) This extraordinary wine is now back in stock just in time for meat grilling season! A very rich, savory red with blackberry, dark chocolate, flint aromas, and flavors. It’s full-bodied and chewy with lots of structure and length. It’s a blend of 75% Tempranillo, 11% Cabernet Sauvignon, 11% Syrah, and 3% Merlot. It’s ripe and creamy and has an extroverted personality. The palate is medium to full-bodied, with a juicy texture and fine, chalky tannins. 93 points James Suckling
