Did you know we make gorgeous and delectable charcuterie boards? Our standard platter (pictured on the left with added dried fruit) consists of Jamon Serrano, Salchichon de Vic, Chorizo, a French double creme cheese, a Spanish goat and a Manchego-style cheese.
Or choose your preferred products and we’ll make a custom platter. Pictured on the right is a custom platter for six that we made yesterday. And now that it’s football season, take a charcuterie board to your tail gate party – it’s much better than a hot dog!
Keeping soft French cheeses in stock has become challenging due to longer shipping times, as sometimes the cheeses are past their prime when they finally arrive. We do now have these soft cheeses in stock, so pick some up while we have them!
Breibirousse de Argental – A soft-ripened sheep’s milk cheese with an Annato-rubbed rind. Creamy and brie-like, it is faintly sweet and overall very complex. Excellent on sandwiches.
Le Pico Affiné – These palm-sized rounds are made from pasteurized goat’s milk and matured for 10 days. The interior is creamy, with notes of butter, mushrooms and hay. Perfect on a cheese board!
Gros Gres D’Alsace – Made with pasteurized cows milk cheese, this washed-rind cheese is aged on fern leaves. Hearty, creamy and flavorful, with notes of fruit and straw.

WINE CORNER
Domaine de Reuilly Pinot Gris Rosé 2021 ($24.99) The wines of Domaine de Reuilly should not be missed. Denis Jamain is an artisan winemaker of the highest degree, and a friendly and interesting man to chat with. (I was fortunate to meet him at a Seattle wine tasting a few years ago). His earnestness about the health of his vineyard soils impressed me as well as his wines which are crafted with care. Certified organic and biodynamic, the 2021 Pinot Gris rose is stunning. With silky viscosity, white floral notes and abundant minerality, it is fresh with firm tannins. This wine is a pleasure to drink.
Dominique & Romain Collet, Chablis “Cuvée Paul” Vieilles Vignes 2020 Dominique’s family has tended these vines since their planting in 1932…that is no typo, 1932. This is classic, old-school Chablis, full of fresh fruit and completely free of the influence of wood barrel. Look for citrus notes in the nose along with hints of oyster shells and ocean spray. The palate is long, stony and dry, with chiseled minerality and backbone à la chablisienne. Bravo!
Bodegas Y Vinedos Raul Perez, Ultreia St.-Jacques Mencía Bierzo 2019 ($20.99) This may be the best vintage of Ultreia Saint Jacques to date. Smooth and rich, it is complex, spicy and incredibly drinkable. “The nose of the 2019 Ultreia Saint Jacques is nothing short of spectacular. It shows the varietal character and the juicy and round style of the Valtuille vineyards. It’s harmonious, clean and expressive. They are using more and more stems with long macerations, malolactic in tanks and aging in 30% oak vats (he purchased from Alión) and 70% of the wine in used 225-liter oak barrels for one year.” 94 points Wine Advocate
Camille Giroud, Gevrey – Chambertin Les Crais, 2018 ($82.00) With cooler nights, if you find yourself roasting a chicken, pair it with this delicious red Burgundy for a special treat. “The nose is fruity, elegant and offers precision, a fine power and straightness. It reveals notes of blackberry, plum, small notes of strawberry associated with small touches of violet, small blue fruits as well as fine hints of tonka bean, cardamom and a discreet varietal hint. The palate is fruity, elegant and offers a beautiful definition, a juicy/acidulous frame as well as a fine suavity. On the palate this wine expresses notes of juicy/fleshy blackberry, juicy/fleshy raspberry and small notes of fleshy Garriguette strawberry associated with fine touches of crushed cassis as well as very fine hints of liquorice and Bourbon vanilla. Tannins are elegant and offer a very discreet chew. Good length.” – 93/100, VertdeVin
