Come in this Saturday, October 7 for a free in-store tasting of El Coto Rioja wines. From 1-3 p.m., we’ll be pouring the new vintages of this fantastic Spanish producer’s wines. Taste a white Rioja, a semi-sweet white wine, and their Rioja Crianza, Reserva, and Gran Reserva red wines. The reds pair wonderfully with fall’s seasonal foods, and the semi-sweet white is excellent with cheeses and fruit desserts. Marc Stotland, Regional Manager of Opici, El Coto’s wine importer will guide us through the tasting.
NEW HOURS – WE ARE NOW OPEN FROM 9:30 A.M. TO 5:30 P.M. 7 DAYS PER WEEK. Make a stop at Paris-Madrid Grocery on your next shopping trip to Pike Place Market for specialty French and Spanish products you won’t find anywhere else.
Goulart’s Portuguese-style Linguiça is now in stock: Made in San Jose, CA by a small family sausage maker, Goulart’s linguiça has a smoky, pure, and authentic flavor. Excellent in soups or stews, they can also be heated and served on bread. For a fun way to heat them, pick up one of our ceramic sausage toasters. Pour aguardiente or other high-proof liquor over the sausage, carefully ignite it, and char the meat on both sides until the skin turns black and blistered. Remove sausage to a cutting board, slice, and enjoy on bread. Great gift!
Jamón Serrano slicing knives. Specialty knives for carving Jamón Serrano and Jamón Ibérico hams are hard to come by, but we’ve now got them in stock. Not just any jamón knife, these are stainless steel knives made in Albacete, the pinnacle of Spanish quality knife-making. Made by Arcos, a company established in 1745, these knives are made for famed ham producer Cinco Jotas and protect against bacteria. Great gift!
Gorgeous Spanish tile murals available – Made in Valencia, Spain we’ve got four murals of varying designs and sizes. The bakery mural is stunning, and the largest at approximately 3′ high, 6′ long. It would be perfect in a large kitchen or pastry shop. Stop in to see them in person, or reply to this email if you’d like more photos and prices.
