WINE CORNER:   These two wine are perfect for the in-between season of late summer/early fall.
La Bourgeoise SancerreHenri Bourgeois “La Bourgeoise” Sancerre 2020
($34.99) 100% Sauvignon Blanc sourced from four plots of very old organically farmed vines that sit on flinty soil. These specific plots were worked by monks for centuries, the monks called the plots “Les Bourgeoises,” which is the reason for the name here. If you are looking for a deep, powerful, flinty example of Sauvignon made in a contemporary style it is hard to find something more compelling than this in the category.  This is excellent with oysters or any other shellfish and the weight of this wine makes it pair wonderfully with fish stews or duck confit.   “Concentrated and harmonious, with melon, nectarine, gooseberry and lemon curd layered with green herbs and an intense salty spine. Delicious. Drink now through 2028.” 93 points Wine Spectator

Dupeuble BeaujolaisDomaine Dupeuble Beaujolais Rouge 2021 ($18.99)  A classic Beaujolais rouge, made from 100% Gamay that undergoes carbonic maceration.  This is a bright, earthy and fruity red wine that imparts freshness and joy with each sip.  Its low tannins make it easy to drink and it pairs wonderfully with mushroom dishes and hearty stews.  The grapes come from a 50-100 year old vineyard and are aged in concrete and stainless steel tanks.

OUR NEW HOURS ARE 9:30-5:30 7 DAYS PER WEEK.
