Bastille Day Weekend Sale!
Join us this weekend as we celebrate the culinary flavors and wines of France! On Saturday, July 12th and Sunday, July 13th we’ll be offering samples throughout the day of cheeses, butters, jams, pâtés, cookies and more from France or from French recipes. All French (or French-inspired) grocery items and books will be 10% off July 12th-14th. This is a great time to stock up tins of escargot or your favorite Dijon mustard. (Wine not included in the sale.)
Free Wine Tasting: All French
It wouldn’t be a Bastille Day celebration without opening a few bottles. Stop by for our free wine tastings on Saturday and Sunday from 2-4pm. We’ll be pouring a pair of sweet, red vermouths, a chardonnay, a couple of rosés, and more.
We’re especially excited to be pouring La Quintinye Vermouth Royal Rouge. You know this one is special the moment it graces your palate with its honeyed texture. Named for the 17th century botanist, Jean-Baptiste de la Quintinye, who designed and created the vegetable gardens of Versaille for Louis XIV, it is a blend of 28 plants and herbs infused in white wine and Pineau des Charantes Rouges. Aromas of licorice, plum, vanilla, and chocolate are followed by flavors of caramelized, bitter vanilla, orange zest, and prune. We love this served chilled and neat, or simply on the rocks.
New Bret’s Flavors
Newly arrived: Bret’s, your favorite French potato chips, has added two new flavors: pesto mozzarella and cèpes (porcini). We’ll have samples of both available this weekend. We love them as a canapé base topped with cheese, or just straight from the bag.
